Special Religious Education

Special Religious Education:

Parents in public schools have the right to have their children receive instruction in their preferred religious persuasion where authorised teachers of that persuasion are available. A joint denominational Christian program is run at Fort Street High School in Period 6 on Wednesday afternoons. The program teaches Christian Special Religious Education on behalf of Christian denominations using the "THINK-FAITH" curriculum prepared and approved by the Sydney Archdiocese of the Anglican Church - Australia. An overview of the material can be viewed athttps://www.youthworks.net/sre/authorised-curriculum

The SRE class is taught by Mike Dicker who is the Youth Minister of All Saints Anglican Church - Petersham and an accredited Special Religious Education teacher.
